10/03/2020 Four small-medium sized leaves present. Root is thick, brown, and with many shoots.
11/20/2020 Secondary stem seems as though it is starting to necrotize. No leaves ever formed on the shoot. Main stem appears to be healthy. Leaves have increased in size and appear slightly wrinkled. Will plan to move to a pot soon and prepare for the winter season.
*** Long period without recorded observations
01/22/2021 Both of my lil' avocado plants have started producing a good amount of leaves and appear healthy. I thought the second plant was going to die, but then out of nowhere it sprouted a nice stem and leaf!
08/30/21 I have done a terrible job of keeping observations, yet I managed to take some pictures over the last couple months. My little avocado tree nursery has greatly expanded; I now have six growing little trees in pots, with another five currently sprouting in water! The leaves on these bad boys are getting huge, and they are feeling stronger every day. Even if the guacamole doesn't taste all too great when the time comes, I have enjoyed every bit of this growing process :)
Updated Plant Log!
10/23/22 Alas, I have again done a terrible job of posting updates to my avocado page. I now have seven, yes count them seven, avocado trees starting to grow! The tallest one is almost as tall as I am! It's incredible how much it has grown over the last year, and especially how thick its trunk has been getting. We have had some pretty gnarly drought over the last several months, but the trees have faired well.
